As part of our continued growth, RSM Malta is expanding its AFC & Compliance Function by recruiting Senior and Junior Due Diligence Specialists.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct due diligence and screening on potential customers during onboarding
- Coordinate with the Service Line to schedule calls with prospective customers, ensuring their profile aligns with RSM’s risk appetite
- Perform research, adverse checks, and analyze information according to procedures
- Prepare concise due diligence reports, highlighting relevant information and risks
- Use public databases and internal systems to verify due diligence information
- Review and clear hits on the Firm’s screening tool daily, escalating as needed
- Ensure all customer documentation is verified per RSM’s policies
- Maintain and update internal team registers and customer risk profiles
- Perform enhanced due diligence for high-risk customers and escalate issues as needed
- Identify potential red flags or suspicious activities during customer evaluations and report them to the MLRO
- Provide guidance on CDD-related matters to team members and service line
- Stay current on AML/CFT and sanctions obligations, ensuring compliance
- Collaborate with the Head to monitor emerging risks, trends, and regulatory changes, providing insights to senior management
Requirements:
- Solid knowledge of KYC and Customer Due Diligence
- AML/CFT or Financial Crime qualification (e.g., Diploma in AML, Certificate in KYC/CDD)
- 1–3 years’ experience in AML/CFT, sanctions, and due diligence (training provided for junior applicants)
- Strong awareness of ML/TF and customer risk indicators
- Good understanding of Maltese and EU AML/CFT regulations and adaptability to change
- Fluent in English (Maltese is an asset)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Able to interpret complex legal and regulatory material
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Positive attitude with a sense of ownership and accountability
