Job Description

Overview

We are currently seeking an HR Manager to join the Firm. Reporting to the Head of HR, the role will support the full HR lifecycle and contribute to the delivery of initiatives that enhance employee engagement, performance and wellbeing.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and development of strategic HR projects aligned with the Firm’s business objectives, with full responsibility for their successful, timely, and cost-effective implementation.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and internal frameworks, ensuring compliance with legislative, technical, and business developments.
  • Proactively assess the impact of regulatory, technical and business changes on the Firm and recommend appropriate HR responses.
  • Ensure internal processes and systems maximise the use of automation and optimise resource availability.
  • Play an active role in developing an effective HR team, including supporting the recruitment and onboarding of team members.
  • Oversee learning and development initiatives, including the management of training budgets.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programmes and continuously enhance them to meet evolving business needs.
  • Build and promote a strong employer brand in collaboration with the marketing function and ensure an effective end-to-end recruitment and onboarding experience.

Requirements:

  •  A recognised tertiary-level qualification (MQF Level 6 or higher) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years’ progressive HR experience, including at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Have an in‑depth understanding of talent acquisition, Maltese employment law, HR and payroll principles, with the ability to train others and clearly explain how these should be applied and followed.
  • Have an excellent command of English and ideally Maltese, with the ability to explain complex and/or technical matters clearly, accurately and simply.
  • Have excellent briefing, report‑writing and presentation skills.
  • Be highly proficient in the use of Office productivity suites and relevant HR Information Systems.
