We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Firm Accountant to join our growing professional services firm. In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio, delivering high-standard bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax compliance services.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Statements: Prepare periodic management accounts, year-end financial statements, and audit-ready files.

Tax Compliance: Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns, corporate tax computations, and annual returns.

Client Relations: Act as a primary point of contact for client queries regarding financial data, reporting deadlines, and operational accounting.

Collaboration: Liaise with auditors, tax authorities (such as the Revenue/Tax departments), and internal teams to ensure seamless workflows.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience, ideally within a local corporate services or accounting firm environment.

Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage) and strong advanced Excel skills.

Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of local Maltese accounting and tax regulations.

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Maltese language proficiency is considered an asset).

Education: ACCA, ACA, or holding a degree in Accountancy is preferred.
